Laura Castañeda is a Professor of Professional Practice of Journalism and Associate Dean of Community and Culture at the USC Annenberg School of Journalism. She has been a faculty member since 2000, previously teaching at Temple University and working as a journalist for major outlets like The San Francisco Chronicle and Associated Press. Her research focuses on diversity in journalism, particularly the Latino experience, and pedagogical innovation in media education.
