Dr. Laura Beltran-Rubio is a Lecturer in Design Cultures at De Montfort University, affiliated with the School of Fashion and Textiles within the Faculty of Arts, Design and Humanities. She is a researcher, curator, and educator specializing in art and fashion history, with a focus on Indigenous fashion and textiles in the Americas.

Her recent publications span topics such as Indigenous heritage, colonial dress, gender, and fashion curation, reflecting a strong interdisciplinary engagement with fashion history, cultural identity, and ethical representation.
