Laura Antona is an Assistant Professor (Education) of Human Geography at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), Department of Geography and Environment. Her work bridges feminist political economy, urban geography, and critical migration studies with a focus on gender, violence, and labour in Southeast Asia and Europe. She holds a PhD from LSE, an MSc and BSc from University College London.
Her research explores forced migrant removal experiences in Southeast Asia, carceral domesticities in Singapore's labour regime, and the legacy of forced migration in Cyprus. She co-leads an abolition domesticities project with Sneha Krishnan (University of Oxford) and has conducted ethnographic fieldwork across Southeast Asia for a decade. Her ESRC Postdoctoral Fellowship at Oxford supported this work.
