Laura A. De Veau is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Educational Leadership & Higher Education department at Boston College's Lynch School of Education and Human Development. She holds an Ed.D. from Northeastern University, an M.Ed. from Boston University, and a B.S. from Boston University. Her expertise spans Student Affairs Administration, College Student Development, and NCAA Division III Athletics. She has over 30 years of experience in Student Affairs roles across institutions including Mount Ida College, where she served as Vice President for Student Affairs until its closure in 2018.
Research focuses on institutional closure impacts, student affairs practices, and athletic administration. Awards include NASPA recognition for leadership and service. Publications include a landmark study on student experiences following institutional closure and a Substack blog.
