Lasse ten Siethoff is a Senior Lecturer at the Swedish School of Sport and Health Sciences (GIH), affiliated with the Department of Physiology, Nutrition and Biomechanics. His primary roles include teaching research methodology, statistics, exercise science, and physiology with a focus on maximal force, power, and speed generation. He holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from Linnaeus University (2013) and has extensive experience in both academia and competitive sports, including CrossFit coaching and participation.
His research explores muscle force-generating properties, particularly how muscle architecture and training influence performance. Recent work focuses on physical tests for first responders and optimizing training interventions to improve task-specific performance. He has collaborated with Eastern Svealand Rescue Region on fitness testing models. Over 18 peer-reviewed articles span sports science, biomechanics, and earlier nanotechnology studies on molecular motors.
