Lars Olson is a Senior Professor of Neurobiology at Karolinska Institutet, affiliated with the Department of Neuroscience and Tobias Karlsson's research group. His work spans over half a century in neurobiology, focusing on neurodegenerative disorders and neural repair mechanisms.
Research Interests: His primary research investigates Parkinson's disease, memory mechanisms, spinal cord injuries, and Nogo nerve cell signaling related to brain plasticity. He also pioneers educational outreach through science lectures, books, and museum exhibitions.
