Dr. Lars Koens is a Senior Lecturer and Course Leader for the MA in Filmmaking at the Nottingham School of Art & Design, Nottingham Trent University (NTU). He holds a PhD from the University of Edinburgh and transitioned from astrophysics research to filmmaking, focusing on ecological discourse, experimental film, and sound design. His work bridges art and science, with notable projects like the documentary Wolf Park (Cannes showcase) and the MISE Festival, an annual event led by his MA Filmmaking program.
