Lars Behrisch is Assistant Professor of Political History at Utrecht University, specializing in comparative early modern governance. His research examines the historical development of democratic institutions from the Reformation era through the Age of Revolutions.
Key Projects: Behrisch directs the 'Futures of Democracy' initiative, analyzing how pre-1800 political innovations inform contemporary governance challenges.
