Larry Rand is an Assistant Professor at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) School of Medicine, holding the Lynne and Marc Benioff Endowed Chair in Maternal and Fetal Medicine. He serves as the Director of Perinatal Services for the Fetal Treatment Program and as Principal Investigator and Director of the Preterm Birth Initiative (PTBi-CA). His research focuses on perinatology, high-risk pregnancies, and preterm birth, with clinical affiliations to UCSF Health and academic contact details at 490 Illinois St, Box 0132, San Francisco, CA 94143.
- Education: B.A. in Anthropology and Chemistry from New York University (1993), M.D. from Harvard Medical School (1999)
- Training: Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital (2003), Fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine (2006)
