Larry Lipkis is the Composer-in-Residence and Bertha-Mae Starner '27 and Jay F. Starner Professor of Music at Moravian University, where he has served as full-time faculty since 1979. He teaches courses in Form, Orchestration, 20th-century music, and directs the annual Moravian University Composers' Concert.
- Education: B.A. (University of California, Los Angeles), M.A. (University of Pennsylvania), Ph.D. (University of California, Santa Barbara)
- Research: Specializes in composition, 20th/21st-century music, early music performance practices (Renaissance/Baroque), and Bach studies
Ensembles: Directs Moravian's Early Music program with four ensembles, and has been a member of the professional ensemble The Baltimore Consort since 1984, contributing to 17 recordings.
