Larissa Schneider is an Associate Professor at the School of Culture, History & Language, Australian National University (ANU). Her research focuses on historical and ongoing environmental impacts of legacy mining, particularly mercury contamination in Australia and East Timor. She translates scientific findings into policy solutions for pollution management under the Minamata Convention. She founded Mercury Australia, a network addressing mercury's environmental and regulatory implications.
