Employed since 1998, she holds a PhD from the University of Belgrade's Faculty of Biology, where she graduated in 1995 and completed her doctoral thesis in 2009 after earning a master's degree in 2001.
Her research spans insect ecotoxicology, circular bioeconomy systems, and environmental stressor impacts on phytophagous insects. Key focus areas include plastic/organic waste biodegradation using species like Tenebrio molitor and Lymantria dispar, insect farming for protein-rich animal feed, and frass utilization as organic fertilizer. Her work integrates biodiversity conservation, climate change responses, and redox biology within applied environmental protection frameworks.
