Dr. Lara Gruhn is currently an Acting Professor at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg (Germany), Institute for Empirical Cultural Studies, and an Associate Researcher at the University of Zurich's Institute for Social Anthropology and Cultural Studies. Her research focuses on everyday ethics, sustainable consumption, and material culture, with a particular emphasis on storytelling as a cultural practice. She holds a PhD from the University of Zurich (2021) and has held academic positions across institutions including the University of Innsbruck and Zurich's ISEK. Her work bridges cultural anthropology, sociology, and media studies, addressing topics ranging from asylum discourse to digitalization's impact on redistribution practices.
