Lara D. Shore-Sheppard is the Dean of the Faculty and Kimberly A. '96 and Robert R. '62 Henry Professor of Economics at Williams College. She joined the institution in 2000 and holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Princeton University (1996).

Her research focuses on health economics, labor economics, and poverty/welfare policy, examining Medicaid expansions, health insurance dynamics, and income inequality. Her 2014-2023 publications analyze ACA impacts, food insecurity, maternal health, and intergenerational economic effects.
