Lara Cherbal is a PhD candidate and research assistant at the Institute of Geography of Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, specializing in Human Geography. Her research focuses on the identity and belonging of young Omanis in the context of modernization and socio-spatial transformations. She holds a Master of Education in French and Geography from Mainz and a Licence en géographie from Université de Bourgogne Franche-Comté.
