Lara Bergers is a Ph.D. candidate at Utrecht University's Faculty of Humanities, Department of History and Art History, specializing in Cultural History. As part of the ERC Consolidator Grant-funded project FORCe (2018-2024), she investigates policing and judicial practices surrounding sexually violent crimes in the Netherlands (1930-1980), with a focus on how cultural ideas shape forensic science applications.
