Laoise Renwick is a Senior Lecturer in Nursing at the University of Manchester's Division of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work. She holds external positions as Visiting Associate Professor at University College Dublin (2022–2027) and External Examiner at Trinity College Dublin (2021–2024). Her research focuses on adapting evidence-based interventions for minority groups in the UK and global majority groups in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), particularly addressing psychosis treatment outcomes and caregiver support. She has led national research initiatives through the MHNAUK International Mental Health Nursing Research Conference, serving as Chair, Scientific Chair, and Committee Member for six years.

- Research Interests: Cultural adaptation of mental health interventions, global health disparities, digital mental health literacy, early psychosis care, and public engagement in research prioritization.
Her work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to health equity and quality education. Key projects include developing scalable digital interventions for depression in Indonesia and culturally adapted family interventions for schizophrenia in Indonesia and Pakistan. She is an editorial board member of the Journal of Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing and a member of organizations like the International Early Psychosis Association.
Her publications span feasibility studies of cognitive remediation, mental health literacy reviews in LMICs, and qualitative analyses of stakeholder perspectives in schizophrenia care. She has secured grants totaling £multi-million for projects like the Sustainable Treatment of Anxiety and Depression in Indonesia (2022–2026).
