Lanny L Hsieh

Lanny L. Hsieh, MD is a Professor in both the Division of Infectious Diseases and the Division of General Internal Medicine & Primary Care within the Department of Medicine at the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine. She is a board-certified internist specializing in infectious diseases and hospital medicine.

Her educational background includes a medical degree from New York University's Grossman School of Medicine, followed by internal medicine residency and infectious diseases fellowship training at UCI Medical Center. Dr. Hsieh maintains active clinical practice at UCI Medical Center in Orange, California.

Dr. Hsieh's research interests focus on fluoroquinolone resistance mechanisms and SARS-CoV2 pathogenesis. Her clinical expertise encompasses general infectious disease management, HIV care, and infectious complications in transplant patients. Notably, she has contributed to the understanding of infectious disease presentations in specialized patient populations.
