Dr. Lanlan Su is a Visiting Lecturer in the Department of Automatic and Control Systems Engineering at the University of Sheffield. She holds a B.E. in Electrical Engineering from Zhejiang University (2014) and a Ph.D. in Control Systems from the University of Hong Kong (2018), supported by the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme. Her career includes roles as a Lecturer at the University of Leicester (2020-2022), Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Notre Dame (prior to 2020), and visiting scholar at Notre Dame in 2017.
Her research focuses on robust control, networked control systems, complex dynamic networks, and distributed optimization. Key areas include stability analysis under channel impairments, distributed resource allocation, and multiplier-based methodologies. She serves as an Associate Editor for the International Journal of Control and the European Control Conference since 2020.
Award-winning educator, Dr. Su was honored with the 'My Favorite Professor' title at Leicester International Institute (2020-2022). Her teaching spans control systems design, state-variable control, and digital control systems, emphasizing theoretical foundations and practical applications.
Her work integrates control theory with interdisciplinary applications, such as epidemic modeling and nonlinear circuit analysis, reflecting her commitment to advancing systematic methodologies across diverse fields.
