Lanice Avery

Lanice Avery is an Associate Professor at the University of Virginia with a joint appointment in the Department of Psychology and the Department of Women, Gender, and Sexuality. She investigates intersections of race, gender, sexuality, and media, focusing on Black women's identity development and how systemic stereotypes impact health outcomes.
