Lamine Savané

Dr. Lamine Savané is an Associate Fellow at the Peace Research Institute Frankfurt (PRIF)’s Research Department Glocal Junctions, with a focus on the African Intervention Politics research group. He is also a Lecturer at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Segou, Mali, and currently serves as Vice Dean of the same faculty.

His research explores civil society inclusion in non-military interventions by ECOWAS and the African Union in Mali, emphasizing conflict dynamics, logic of violence, and armed groups in the Sahel region. He has previously collaborated with institutions like the Bonn International Centre for Conflict Studies (BICC) and contributed to peacebuilding initiatives in West Africa.
