Clara Perras is a Doctoral Researcher at the Peace Research Institute Frankfurt (PRIF) in the International Security Research Department, focusing on feminist approaches to peace and conflict studies. Her work examines intersections between international cybersecurity, gender and security policy, and feminist foreign policy frameworks.
She holds a Master's degree in International Studies/Peace and Conflict Research from Goethe University Frankfurt and Technical University Darmstadt, and completed her Bachelor's in Political Science and Sociology at Technical University of Dresden. As a scholarship holder of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, she combines academic research with practical engagement, including internships at GIZ and UNESCO.
Her research portfolio emphasizes gender dynamics in emerging security technologies, particularly through publications analyzing AI in international security contexts, the Women, Peace and Security agenda, and backlash mechanisms against gender equality in peacebuilding. She has contributed to PRIF working groups on glocal junctions and international security while developing critical perspectives on digital governance and multilateral policy frameworks.
