Ethnographic fieldwork spans Pakistan, England, and Canada. Research analyzes how multicultural policies racialize Muslim women through discourses of docility and risk.
Publications include the award-winning 'Downwardly Global', which traces Pakistani women's labor migrations and affective negotiations of belonging. Current projects investigate sensory dimensions of racialization.
