Dr Lala Muradova is an Associate Professor (Lecturer) at the Department of Politics and International Relations, University of Southampton. She specializes in political psychology, political communication, and democratic innovations, with a focus on how political institutions and emotions shape public behavior and democratic legitimacy.
Education
- PhD in Political Science, KU Leuven (Belgium), awarded Best Political Science PhD in 2021
Research Interests
Her research lies at the intersection of political psychology, political communication, and democratic theory. She explores how empathy, institutions, and deliberative practices influence political behavior on issues like climate change, universal basic income, abortion, and COVID-19.
