Laila Zackariasson is Professor of Civil Law at the Department of Law, Uppsala University, a position she has held since 2011. She is a leading authority in Swedish civil law, with particular expertise in property law, insolvency law, and contract law.

Research Interests:

She has made significant contributions through monographs such as Direktkrav (1999), Borgenärsskydd och specialitet (2012), and Sakrätt beträffande fast egendom (2021, co-authored). Her work often explores complex legal mechanisms such as direct claims, creditor protection, and property rights in both movable and immovable assets.
