Laila Abu Rashed

Dr. Laila Abu Rashed serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio, joining the institution in September 2025. She is a board-certified Hospitalist specializing in acute inpatient care and complex medical management within hospital settings.

Her educational foundation includes a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) earned at Mu'tah University in Jordan (2014), followed by Internal Medicine residency training at Saint Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, MD (2021). Professional development is further evidenced through active membership in key organizations including the Society of Hospital Medicine, American College of Sports Medicine, and American College of Physicians.

Dr. Abu Rashed's clinical expertise centers on Hospital Medicine with significant focus on Internal Medicine and Sports Medicine applications. Her practice integrates evidence-based approaches for hospitalized patients while maintaining active engagement with evolving standards through professional society participation. Current clinical work occurs within the Division of Hospital Medicine under the Department of Medicine structure.
