Ameer Ahmed

Dr. Ameer Ahmed serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio's School of Medicine, specializing in Hospital Medicine since joining in July 2022.

His educational journey includes:

• Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology and Behavior (minor in Philosophy) from University of California at Irvine (2012)
• Doctor of Medicine from St. George's University, Grenada (2017)
• Family Medicine residency at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, Colton, CA (2020) with Chief Resident service (2019-2020)
• Hospital Medicine fellowship at University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (completed June 2022)

Dr. Ahmed's clinical expertise focuses on inpatient care systems and Family Medicine applications within hospital settings, leveraging his dual board certification and fellowship training to optimize patient outcomes in acute care environments.
