Laia Riera Negre

Laia Riera Negre is a doctoral candidate and pre-doctoral research trainee (FPI) at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) within the Applied Pedagogy and Educational Psychology department. She is an active member of the Research Group on Inclusive Education and Diversity (GREID), contributing to multiple interdisciplinary research initiatives focused on educational responses for vulnerable populations.

Her research expertise centers on Hospital Pedagogy, Quality of Life, Pediatric Palliative Care, and Social Robotics, with particular emphasis on developing inclusive educational approaches for children facing health challenges. Dr. Riera Negre integrates qualitative research methodologies to address complex educational needs in healthcare settings, creating context-specific interventions that bridge pedagogy and medical care.

Her teaching spans the dual degree in Early Childhood and Primary Education, Master's in Psychoeducational Research, and Physical Activity and Sports Sciences programs. She also serves as a peer reviewer for the EDUTEC-E Educational Technology Journal.
