LaToya Anderson

LaToya Anderson serves as an Urban Ecology instructor for the CUNY STEM Academy's College Now program and works as an associate research analyst at the Flatiron Institute's Center for Computational Quantum Physics.

She is currently pursuing dual undergraduate degrees in Physics and Computational Mathematics at Brooklyn College, building on prior research experience as a physical chemistry and environmental science research assistant.

Her research integrates computational techniques to solve quantum many-body problems through software engineering design and efficient approximation methods, while her environmental education work focuses on urban ecology systems and sustainability practices. This dual expertise bridges theoretical physics and practical ecological applications.

Anderson has received multiple unspecified awards for her professional contributions and serves as an environmental educator for the NYC Department of Environmental Protection.

An active masters-level Olympic weightlifter, she maintains competitive athletics alongside her academic and research commitments.
