Dr. Luis Ponjuan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Administration & Human Resource Development at Texas A&M University’s College of Education and Human Development. His research focuses on improving educational outcomes for Latino/x students, men of color, and underserved populations in higher education. He holds affiliate appointments in the College of Arts & Sciences’ Latino/a and Mexican American Studies, Race & Ethnic Studies, and Africana Studies programs. Dr. Ponjuan earned his Ph.D. in Education (Higher Education Administration) from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, with expertise in quantitative methods and organizational psychology.

Grants & Awards: Over $3 million in grants from NSF, ECMC Foundation, and others. National recognition for work on Latino/x males, including advising Vice President Kamala Harris on men of color issues. Served as PI/Co-PI on projects like the Texas Education Consortium for Male Students of Color and the Inclusive Community of Aggie Researchers (iCAR).
