Jorge Burmicky, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership & Policy Studies at Howard University's School of Education. His research focuses on equity-minded presidential leadership at minority-serving institutions (MSIs), community colleges, and broadly accessible institutions, with specific emphasis on educational outcomes for men of color, particularly Latino men.

He serves on editorial boards for Journal of Diversity in Higher Education and Journal of College Student Development.
