LC Santangelo

L.C. Santangelo is a Lecturer in the Princeton Writing Program at Princeton University. Their research focuses on gender history in the United States, particularly during the 19th and 20th centuries, with a strong emphasis on urban activism and the Progressive Era.

• Research Interests: Gender history, urban tactics of suffrage activists, digital humanities, and mapping historical boundaries.

Santangelo’s first book, Suffrage and the City, examines how activists adapted strategies to amend the New York State constitution.
