L. Lamar Wilson is an Assistant Professor of Creative Writing at Wake Forest University. His research explores documentary poetics, the ethics of race-conscious creative writing, and African American beauty aesthetics in literature, visual art, and film. He previously taught at Davidson College and The University of Alabama.
Wilson's creative works include the poetry collection Sacrilegion (2013), the hybrid text Prime (2014), and the film collaboration The Changing Same. His interdisciplinary approach bridges literary studies with visual culture and performance arts.
