L. Alvin Malesky

L. Alvin Malesky is a full Professor at Western Carolina University (WCU) in the College of Education and Allied Professions. He has served as department head for nine years and holds licenses as a psychologist in North Carolina and Virginia. His research focuses on academic integrity in higher education, recognized nationally and at WCU through awards like the University Scholar Award and Innovative Scholarship Award. Dr. Malesky has a PhD from the University of Memphis, an MBA from WCU, and advanced training in forensic psychology through internships and fellowships.

Teaching includes undergraduate courses such as Introduction to Forensic Psychology and Abnormal Psychology, as well as graduate supervision courses.
