Kyunghwan OH

Kyunghwan Oh is an Associate Professor at Yonsei University in South Korea, specializing in optics and photonics. His research focuses on photon-matter interactions at sub-wavelength scales, including light confinement at metal-dielectric interfaces and optical trapping of nanoparticles. Additional research areas include development of photonic materials, optical fiber device design, and micro-display devices using optical waveguides.

He holds a PhD on spectroscopic studies of rare earth doped fibers from Brown University (1994) and has conducted research at Bell Labs' Optical Fiber Research Department, University of Southampton, and University of Tokyo. His honors include Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellowship and JSPS Invitation Fellowship.
