Kyoung June Yi

Kyoung June Yi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Kinesiology at McMaster University. His research focuses on equity, inclusion, and systemic barriers in sports and physical education, with a particular emphasis on marginalized groups such as LGBTQ+ athletes, children with disabilities, and culturally diverse populations. He holds academic appointments including teaching responsibilities for courses like Adapted Physical Activity and Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in Physical Activity.

His scholarly work addresses topics such as talent identification in youth sports, culturally responsive pedagogy for physical education teachers, and intersectional equity frameworks.
