Kyoung June Yi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Kinesiology at McMaster University. His research focuses on equity, inclusion, and systemic barriers in sports and physical education, with a particular emphasis on marginalized groups such as LGBTQ+ athletes, children with disabilities, and culturally diverse populations. He holds academic appointments including teaching responsibilities for courses like Adapted Physical Activity and Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in Physical Activity.
