Professor Kymakis Emmanuel is a Full Professor of Advanced Electronic Materials & Devices at the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering, Hellenic Mediterranean University. He serves as Vice President of the University Research Center of EL.ME.PA, Director of the Inter-Institutional Postgraduate Program 'Nanotechnology for Energy Applications', and coordinator of the Energy Production Work Package in the European Graphene Platform (FET Graphene Flagship). His research focuses on optimizing printable photovoltaic devices using graphene derivatives and 2D materials to enhance industrial scalability. He holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge (2003) and a degree from the University of Liverpool (1999).

Notably, he co-invented organic photovoltaics using carbon nanotubes with Prof. Gehan Amaratunga.
