Kym Barry is a Lecturer in Medical Radiation Sciences - Nuclear Medicine at Charles Sturt University's School of Dentistry and Medical Sciences, Port Macquarie campus. With over 17 years of clinical experience in nuclear medicine across public hospitals and private practices, she teaches students in all years of the medical radiation sciences program and coordinates clinical placements.

- Clinical training: St Vincent's Hospital, Sydney
Her research focuses on workplace learning, interprofessional education, patient care, and qualitative methodologies like interpretative phenomenological analysis. Recent work explores soft skills in medical radiation science, AI applications in nuclear medicine education, and academic integrity challenges.
