Dr. Kyle Vincent Camarda is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical & Petroleum Engineering at The University of Kansas. He holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego (1990), and MS (1994) and PhD (1997) degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
His research focuses on Process Systems Engineering, Product Design Optimization, and Chemical Process Design, with applications in sustainable separations, biomedical materials, and pharmaceutical formulations. Notable projects include developing water-compatible dental adhesives, optimizing microbicidal drug delivery systems, and designing lyophilized protein formulations using carbohydrate excipients.
His publications span interdisciplinary topics such as photopolymerization dynamics for dental materials, mathematical modeling of biomedical fluid dynamics, and computational molecular design. Presentations include talks at AIChE Annual Meetings and international process systems engineering conferences.
