Kyle S. Brinkman

Kyle S. Brinkman is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Clemson University. He holds a B.S. and M.S. from Clemson University (1998, 2000) and a Ph.D. from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (2004). His research focuses on energy materials, including solid oxide fuel cells, solid-state batteries, nuclear materials, and experimental thermodynamics. He has authored over 100 publications and serves as an editor for the Journal of Materials Science and co-director of Clemson’s Nuclear NEESRWM Center. His awards include the 2020 Fellow of the American Ceramic Society and the 2020 Brimacombe Medalist Award.
