Kyle Matchett is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Medicine, Ulster University, with expertise spanning breast cancer research, acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) therapeutics, and epigenetics. His work focuses on hormone signalling, DNA damage mechanisms, and drug discovery, contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals in health and well-being.

Research Interests:
- Investigating SEPT9 splice variants in ovarian cancer and estrogen metabolism in BRCA1-deficient breast cells.
- Role of erythropoietin (EPO) in breast cancer progression and development of novel EPO receptor antibodies.
- Epigenetic drug combinations for AML, including albendazole repurposing and venetoclax synergy.
