Kyle Larson is Assistant Professor in Architectural Engineering and Construction Science at Kansas State University. He earned his PhD (2006), MS (2003), and BS (2002) in Civil Engineering from K-State and Bradley University respectively. His industry experience spans over 10 years as a diagnostic/forensic engineer in Kansas City and as a public sector materials engineer.
Research focuses on:
- Construction and engineering education pedagogy
- Concrete structure performance
- Repair methodologies for prestressed girders
- Self-consolidating concrete applications
Honors include the 2019 Associated Schools of Construction Teaching Award and PCI's 2006 George D. Nasser Award. He has published in ASCE and PCI journals and coaches ASC competition teams.
