Kyle Ivy is a Continuing Lecturer in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHESS) at Purdue University Northwest, where he teaches Philosophy courses. He also serves as Coordinator of Faculty Liaisons for the Concurrent Enrollment Program under the Office of Partnerships and Outreach (OPO), supporting outreach initiatives and faculty coordination.
Dr. Ivy holds a Doctor of Ministry in Leadership from Wesley Theological Seminary, a Master of Divinity from Memphis Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Mississippi.
His research and expertise focus on ethics, religion, combat resilience, moral injury, and leadership. His military background includes 20 years as a U.S. Air Force officer (Lt. Col), where he served as a subject matter expert in religion, spirituality, and morality for Headquarters Air Force Reserve Command. This role involved supporting wartime requirements under U.S. Special Operations Command, Cyber Command, Air Combat Command, and Air Education and Training Command.
Dr. Ivy’s work bridges academic teaching, military ethics, and institutional outreach, emphasizing practical applications of philosophical and ethical principles in both civilian and military contexts.
