Kumushoy Abduraimova

Dr. Kumushoy Abduraimova is Assistant Professor in Finance at Durham University Business School. She joined Durham in 2021 after completing her PhD at Imperial College London, specializing in financial network analysis and systemic risk modeling.

Her research focuses on:

• Contagion mechanisms within financial networks
• Extreme risk propagation in interconnected systems
• Resilience frameworks for banking institutions
• Heterogeneity in systemic vulnerability

Dr. Abduraimova's work develops analytical models to quantify contagion risk through interbank exposures and examines how network structures influence systemic stability. She currently supervises doctoral candidate Dora Wu and has published in the Journal of Banking & Finance.
