Kumudu MUNASINGHE

Professor Kumudu MUNASINGHE is the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology and Professor of Network Engineering at the University of Canberra. He previously served as Head of the School of IT and Systems (2020–2024) and held the Cisco Research Chair (2022–2023). With a PhD in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Sydney (2009), his research focuses on next-generation wireless networks, IoT, cyber-physical systems, and blockchain security. He has secured over $8M in research funding from the Australian Research Council, government agencies, and industry, leading to 130+ publications (H-index 21) and prestigious awards like the IEEE Best Paper Award and VC’s Research Award.
