معرفی
Kui Zhang is a Professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Michigan Technological University. He joined the university in August 2015 after serving as a faculty member at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (2013–2015) and completing postdoctoral research at Yale University and the University of Southern California.
Education:
- Ph.D. in Probability and Statistics from Beijing University, 1999.
Research Interests: Dr. Zhang specializes in statistical genetics and computational biology, focusing on developing novel statistical methods and bioinformatics tools to address biomedical challenges. Key areas include gene mapping with population and family data, haplotype analysis, next-generation sequencing data analysis, rare variant association studies, and RNA-Seq/microarray data analysis.
Collaborative Research and Funding: Dr. Zhang actively collaborates with biomedical scientists, contributing to grant applications via study design, power calculations, and statistical analysis. He also develops custom methods when existing approaches are inadequate. His work is currently funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
