Kuat Abeshev is a Ph.D. candidate and Researcher at the Chair of Digital Governance, Technical University of Munich (TUM). His interdisciplinary work bridges psychology, philosophy, sociology, and social movement studies to explore climate emotions, particularly ecological grief—environmental loss-induced pain—and its impact on political participation at individual and collective levels. He contributes to climate communication as Head of Communications for the Horizon Europe project ClimTip and combines academic rigor with hands-on experience in climate activism through Extinction Rebellion (XR) and Fridays for Future (FFF).
