Krzysztof Pytka is an Assistant Professor of Quantitative Macroeconomics at the University of Mannheim's Department of Economics since 2018. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the European University Institute (2017). His research focuses on household consumption dynamics, search theory, and computational economics, leveraging large microeconomic datasets and machine learning techniques. Current projects examine retail market frictions, post-job displacement earnings losses, and the macroeconomic implications of consumer behavior.
