Kristy Payne

Kristy Payne is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Occupational Therapy at the University of Southern California’s Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy. She specializes in the prevention and management of chronic conditions through Lifestyle Redesign® programs, including interventions for diabetes, mental health, chronic pain, oncology care, and weight management. Her clinical work emphasizes developing evidence-based health programming focused on wellness and prevention.

Dr. Payne earned her clinical doctorate in occupational therapy and is actively involved in the Occupational Science Minor Program, aiming to equip future healthcare providers with tools to drive meaningful patient outcomes. She leads initiatives at the USC Occupational Therapy Faculty Practice, integrating innovative approaches to address diverse client needs.
