Kristine Jordan is an Associate Professor and Associate Chair in the Department of Nutrition & Integrative Physiology at the University of Utah. She holds a PhD in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin, an MPH from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a BA in Economics from the University of California, San Diego. Her research focuses on pediatric nutrition, dietary assessment, and nutrition education program evaluation, with a commitment to community health interventions. Dr. Jordan has received prestigious awards, including the University of Utah Distinguished Teaching Award (2020) and the NDEP Outstanding Dietetic Educator Award (2025). She teaches courses such as Clinical Assessment Lab, Pediatric Nutrition, and Advanced Pediatric and Adolescent Nutrition. Her work spans over 30 peer-reviewed publications, emphasizing topics like eating disorder treatment, nutrition education in underserved communities, and metabolic health in children. Dr. Jordan’s grants include studies on pediatric nutrition practices and the role of dietary components like beans in health. She actively engages in professional leadership roles and community outreach, including volunteering with the Sorenson Unity Center and Edible Campus Gardens.
